Terms of use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Lukas Palmer (“we”, “us”), the maker of Lukas AI, about using the Lukas AI app for Windows (“the app”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Who can use the app
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you're under 18, you may only use it with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you.
2. Your licence
When you get the app (and pay for it, if it's a paid version), we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on computers you own or control, for your own use. You may not resell, rent, or redistribute the app, or try to get around any licence checks.
3. Using the app responsibly
- Only use the app to watch your own work on your own computer. Don't use it to monitor other people without their knowledge and consent.
- You're responsible for the calendar you connect and for changes you make to it through the app.
- The app's on-task / off-task results are estimates made by software and AI, and can be wrong. Don't rely on them for decisions about other people, such as employment decisions.
4. Third-party services
The app can connect to Google Calendar and uses Ollama to run its AI models. Those services have their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them. Use of Google data is described in our privacy policy.
5. Updates
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. Some updates may be needed to keep the app working, for example when Google changes its services.
6. Payments and refunds
The app is in early access and isn't on sale yet. When it is, the price and refund rules will be shown here and where you buy it. Purchases made through the Microsoft Store follow the Store's refund rules.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, missed deadlines or lost profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US $50 or the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
9. Ending
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you break these terms. Sections 7, 8, 11 and 12 still apply after the licence ends.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
12. General
- Entire agreement: these terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
- Severability: if a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we don't enforce a part of these terms, that doesn't mean we give up the right to do so later.
- Transfer: you may not transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them, for example if the app is sold to another company, and they'll still protect you in the same way.
